How does a dream become a reality? Well, if the dream is a nonprofit, then it takes thousands of donors and volunteers across the United States to come together for their common cause. Founder of Miracle Flights for Kids, Ann McGee, had a dream that became a reality due to exactly those types of efforts. Miracle Flights for Kids has now become the nation’s leading nonprofit health and welfare flight organization after more than thirty years of activity. So far, Miracle Flights for Kids has coordinated more than 97,000 flights and 53 million miles of medical air travel across the nation for low income families.

The purpose for the creation of Miracle Flights for Kids back in the 1980s was to make sure that more sick kids than ever had access to flights to wherever they need to go to get whatever treatment they need to make them better, no matter where it is located. Any underserved families who need their help to get their sick children to wherever the best treatment is truly appreciate their efforts. Because of what they do, far fewer children are condemned to death.

Over the course of more than three decades, Miracle Flights for Children has provided more than 100,000 flights to sick children and their families. Overall, these flights have covered more than 55 million miles because families should be able to fly wherever they need to go to get the treatment their children, even if they have to fly across the country to get it. The Miracle Flights for Kids outreach program asks for help from people all over the country, so as to spread the word about their services. They will not be satisfied until every child who needs help to receive treatment for a life-altering or life threatening illness gets exactly what they need, regardless of their ability to pay for today's high costs of airline travel.
